Seeking:

Eliza Doolittle- ROLE CAST 

  • Age Range: 18–30 

  • Vocal Type: Soprano with strong belt (B3–G5)

  •  Character Type: A spirited and resourceful Cockney flower seller who transforms into a poised and articulate lady under Professor Higgins’ tutelage.

​

Professor Henry Higgins

  • Age Range: 40–60

  • Vocal Type: Baritone (A2–E4) – more speak-singing than traditional singing

  • Character Type: An arrogant but brilliant phonetics professor who takes on the challenge of transforming Eliza. Higgins is intellectual, stubborn, and socially awkward, with underlying vulnerability.

Colonel Hugh Pickering ROLE CAST

   •    Age Range: 50–70

   •    Vocal Type: Baritone (C3–F4)

   •    Character Type: A kind and gentlemanly retired officer who serves as Higgins’ foil. Pickering is polite and compassionate, acting as Eliza’s advocate and emotional support.

Alfred P. Doolittle

   •    Age Range: 40–60

   •    Vocal Type: Baritone (A2–F4)

   •    Character Type: Eliza’s unscrupulous yet charming father. A working-class dustman with a larger-than-life personality, he thrives on his lack of ambition and disdain for responsibility. Requires strong comedic timing and charisma.

Freddy Eynsford-Hill ROLE CAST 

   •    Age Range: 18–30

   •    Vocal Type: Tenor (C3–G4)

   •    Character Type: A lovestruck young man from an upper-class family who becomes infatuated with Eliza. Freddy is earnest, romantic, and slightly naive. He needs a warm, lyrical voice for “On the Street Where You Live.”

 

Mrs. Higgins ROLE CAST 

   •    Age Range: 50–70

   •    Character Type: Professor Higgins’ mother, who is kind, wise, and unimpressed by her son’s arrogance. She serves as a voice of reason and shows great empathy toward Eliza.

 

Mrs. Pearce

   •    Age Range: 40–60

   •    Vocal Type: Mezzo-soprano (A3–G5)

   •    Character Type: Professor Higgins’ loyal housekeeper. She is practical, no-nonsense, and protective of Eliza, often acting as the moral compass of the household.

 

Zoltan Karpathy

   •    Age Range: 30–50

   •    Character Type: A flamboyant Hungarian phonetics expert and former student of Higgins. Karpathy is over-the-top, self-important, and provides comic relief.

 

Ensemble x4:

   •    Age Range: Various (teens to 60s)

Character Breakdown – The Great American Trailer Park Musical

Jeannie Garstecki

Character Type: Lead, Strong Comedic Actor, Mezzo-Soprano

Description: A sweet but agoraphobic homebody who hasn’t left her trailer in years. She deeply loves her husband but struggles with past trauma and fears that keep her from moving forward. Must balance heartfelt sincerity with broad comedy.

Audition Song: “Owner of My Heart”

 

Norbert Garstecki

Character Type: Lead, Strong Comedic Actor, Baritone/Tenor

Description: Jeannie’s devoted yet frustrated husband. A tollbooth collector who wants more from life but struggles between his loyalty to Jeannie and his attraction to Pippi. Must have warmth and charm with strong comedic timing.

Audition Song: “One Step Closer”

 

Pippi

Character Type: Lead, Strong Comedic Actor, Mezzo-Soprano with Belt

Description: A feisty, independent stripper on the run from her past. Smart, tough, and sexy but with a vulnerable side. She moves into the trailer park and immediately catches Norbert’s attention. Needs strong vocals and comedic presence.

Audition Song: “The Buck Stops Here”

 

Duke

Character Type: Supporting, Strong Comedic Actor, Rock Tenor

Description: Pippi’s possessive, dim-witted, and hot-tempered ex-boyfriend who is out to track her down. A small-time criminal with a big personality and a bad temper. Needs high energy and a rock-influenced vocal style.

Audition Song: “Road Kill”

 

Betty

Character Type: Supporting, Strong Comedic Actor, Mezzo-Soprano/Alto

Description: The “mother hen” of Armadillo Acres Trailer Park. Tough, sassy, and no-nonsense, but with a warm heart underneath. Acts as a narrator and voice of reason in the chaos. Needs strong comedic chops and commanding stage presence.

Audition Song: “This Side of the Tracks”

 

Linoleum “Lin”

Character Type: Supporting, Strong Comedic Actor, Mezzo-Soprano/Alto

Description: A death row widow with a dry wit and a taste for the dramatic. Outspoken, sarcastic, and a bit rough around the edges. A key part of the trio of trailer park women who provide commentary throughout the show.

Audition Song: “The Great American TV Show”

 

Donna “Pickles”

Character Type: Supporting, Strong Comedic Actor, Mezzo-Soprano/Soprano

Description: A somewhat ditzy but lovable young woman who believes she’s experiencing a hysterical pregnancy. Sweet and enthusiastic, but not the sharpest tool in the shed. Needs excellent comedic timing and strong character vocals.

Audition Song: “Flushed Down the Pipes”
